Renowned as the longest running musical of all time Les Misérables London is the powerful story of ex-convict Jean Valjean and his attempts to re-enter into a society that has abandoned him. Set in 19th Century France amidst the struggles of the French revolution Les Misérables is a tale of passion, love and deceits.
After 19 years in prison Jean Valjean is a free man, yet marked by his parole papers he is made an outcast. In an attempt to start his life anew Jean Valjean changes his name and moves away, breaking his parole. Pursued by Inspector Javert the two men’s lives interweave as their paths cross time and time again. With an array of emotive characters, driving plot twists and impressive songs Les Misérables London has placed itself firmly in the hearts of its audience.
Les Misérables award winning score includes the songs I Dreamed a Dream, On My Own, One More Day and Do You Hear The People Sing.
Alfie Boe will play ‘Jean Valjean’ until 26 November and Matt Lucas will play ‘Thénardier’ until 10 September, they will join the cast from the 23 June. Alfie Boe is scheduled to perform from Thursday 23rd June – Saturday 26th November, excluding all Monday evening and Wednesday matinees. He will not perform Friday 24 June matinee, 6 August, 20 August, 10 Sept, 19-24 Sept, 31 Oct - 5 November, 12 November and 18 November
Matt Lucas is scheduled to perform all eight shows per week from his first performance on Thursday 23rd June until his last performance on Saturday 10th September and currently has no holiday scheduled.
